Seven books published by Author’s Ink are on the shelves at the Gomti Book Festival 2026 in Lucknow. The festival’s fifth edition opened at Lucknow University on 12 September and runs until Sunday, 20 September, so there is still time to find them in person.
The seven cover a wide range: spiritual conversations, romantic comedy, a horror sequel, a cross-cultural love story and everyday psychology. Here is what readers will find, and where to buy each book if you can’t make it to Lucknow.
About the Gomti Book Festival 2026
The Gomti Book Festival is organised by the National Book Trust, India. This year’s edition was inaugurated on 12 September by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and reports from the opening describe around 250 stalls from 121 publishers, with books in Hindi, English, Urdu, Awadhi and other Indian languages.
Across nine days the programme includes author interactions, book launches, panel discussions, cultural performances and a children’s pavilion.

Why book festivals matter for authors
Online, readers mostly find the books they were already searching for. At a book festival they browse: they pick up a cover they have never seen, read the back, and take a chance on an author they had not heard of that morning. For a first-time or independent author, that kind of discovery is hard to buy any other way.
Festivals like the Gomti Book Festival 2026 also put books in front of readers who shop in their own language and region, which matters for a list like ours that spans English and Hindi.
